🔹From October 11th to 18th, 2024, INDIE Ed I held a successful partnership with Ghana Education Service (GES) in North Dayi District to raise awareness of female education. As part of an effort to celebrate International Day of the Girl Child, this initiative shines a spotlight on females in undervalued communities as key societal change agents.

🔹Central to the initiative were the route march from Anfoega Catholic Hospital to Anfoega District Assembly and E.P. Chapel, mentorship sessions, as well as role model outreach. Not only were the students enabled to enhance their academic growth, but also forge meaningful connections — both spiritually and physically — with their peers and instructors. Their smiles, energy, and eagerness were invaluable reinforcements to INDIE Ed I’s ongoing efforts, reemphasizing more than ever the inclusive mission of education. Every human deserves to participate in humankind’s most important vocation: becoming truly and fully human. Human beings acquire the skills and disposition to excel in this vocation through a well-crafted education, making all of us deserving of such an education. INDIE Ed I ensures that children in remote, rural communities in developing countries obtain the requisite education. Here is a documentary of one such effort.

One of INDIE Ed I’s struggles is telling our impact stories. We’re learning and will start doing better.

Here are pictures from our recent activities. It is a multifaceted project with literacy education, public health education, health screening, and public safety education aspects. We are grateful to our local partners, including the Paramount Chief of Kpando.

Good News: Four out of the six low performing schools that INDIE Ed I is supporting in the North Dayi district ranked in North Dayi district’s the top 10 performing schools in the 2020 national Junior High School examination (BECE). Our determination is to improve learning in all six schools and ensure that 100% of students develop their innate potential! We want to thank the students, teachers, staff, and our donors.
