We are glad IUSD is creating awareness on this very important topic! ๐๐ป

How you see the world can make a difference! Everyone has ups and downs and no one is expected to be happy all the time. In fact, itโs important to recognize that life is full of complex emotions and experiences but by embracing a positive or optimistic mindset we can better manage those challenges in a productive way. The neuroscience and data behind this approach reaffirms that students, who possess hope and optimism and embrace mistakes as part of the learning process, succeed at higher levels both academically and personally. As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, below is information about the 21 Day Happiness Challenge, designed to help cultivate an optimistic/growth mindset for your student(s) and family.
Take the 21 Day Happiness Challenge by visiting https://bit.ly/3u67qDZ, which is part of IUSDโs Optimistic Household series released last summer. Pick one of five researched habits (daily gratitude activity, journaling, 15 minutes of fun, mindfulness, kindness) and try it out for 21 days in a row to create a positive habit. Doing so actually rewires or trains the brain to be more positive, supporting the skills necessary for resiliency, innovation, adaptability and perseverance.
