My name is Bibi, and I am the interim president of SoCal BDA. There are two announcements to be made. Our SoCal BDA is currently open; nominated candidates want to become president; vice-presidents must be Black and Deaf individuals. The secretary and treasurer are both eligible to be Deaf or Hearing BIPOC. Membership is a requirement. If you are interested in a particular position, please email [email protected] with your name and the position you are interested in. One of us will respond with additional information.

Second, our Western Regional Chapter Conference will be our first biannual conference host in Riverside, CA. We have a WRC website. The Nevada Black Deaf Advocates, Sacramento Black Deaf Advocates, Southern California Black Deaf Advocates, and Bay Area Black Deaf Advocates have launched our registration website TODAY. We invite you to visit the site and register if you're interested in joining the conference in Riverside, CA.
