Our Director represents us as she joins the community participatory advisory board for the Black PEARL.

About Black Pearl: About the Black PEARL model (Promoting Equity Anti Racism and Love) - This project is a collaboration between UCI and First 5 OC that focuses on the systemic integration of community - based maternal support services to achieve birthing justice.

The Black PEARL project was established to address the urgent need for cohesive care systems that support a community-based doula (CBD) workforce serving communities in Orange County through systemic integrated care in partnership with UCI Health, the only academic health center in the county, and First 5 OC.
