From January to June 2026, the HHCA Cal AIM collaborative showed up for 1,800+ members across Orange County, meeting people exactly where they were—whether that meant finding housing, staying housed, building life skills, or getting the wraparound support they needed to thrive.

The Housing for Health || Housing & Service Provider team had the opportunity to visit our provider partners at Code Tenderloin this week and see their work up close.

Based in San Francisco, Code Tenderloin is tackling from every angle: workforce development, supportive services, digital inclusion, behavioral health, and direct response. Their work is a powerful example of what’s possible when a community invests in economic mobility and housing stability for its people.

We left inspired by the dedication of their staff and the resilience of the folks they serve every day.

Housing for Health || Housing & Service Provider is proud to welcome Set Free Sanger to our Northern California provider network.

Founded in 2019, Set Free Sanger is a faith-based ministry supporting individuals on their journey toward wellness, recovery, and reintegration into society. Their approach combines a wide range of treatment services with the power of community and faith, rooted in the belief that anyone can overcome addiction and find healing, hope, and lasting wellness.

To date, Set Free Sanger has helped hundreds of people restore their lives to productivity and independence. Their work began in the City of Sanger and the surrounding communities, and has since grown to serve individuals from across the state. They’re also recognized by Fresno County’s criminal justice departments as a trusted place of rehabilitation.

Big budget news for housing and homelessness in California.

The new $350 billion state budget includes some real wins for affordable housing and homeless services, both in Orange County and statewide.

A few highlights:

- $900 million for the state’s Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention grant program, which funds cities and counties working to prevent and reduce homelessness

-$500,000 for the Affordable Housing Access Platform, a countywide tool helping OC residents find affordable units they qualify for

-Continued investment in Medi-Cal and CalFresh, both critical safety nets for housing-insecure families

Meet the people behind Housing for Health || Housing & Service Provider.

Connecting people to stable, supportive housing takes more than good intentions. It takes someone tracking down every referral. Someone fighting to get a denied claim paid. Someone making sure the numbers add up so services don’t stop. Someone walking a new partner agency through what compliance actually looks like in practice.

Our team brings together backgrounds in healthcare, social work, finance, compliance, communications, and public administration. Some of us have spent decades in this work. All of us are here for the same reason: everyone deserves a place to call home.
