Looking for a hands-on summer experience for your student? There are still a few openings in Healthcare Heroes, one of our most popular Summer Youth Programs!

Students will step into the world of healthcare and emergency services through exciting activities.

✔️June 15 - 18th, 2026
✔️ 9 am to 2:30 pm CST Monday to Thursday
✔️ Gogebic Community College - Ironwood campus
✔️ Cost $70

🎒 Every Healthcare Heroes student will build and take home their own safety kit packed with awesome gear, including a flashlight, compass, whistle, first aid supplies, fire blanket, and other useful emergency preparedness items. It's a kit they'll be proud to keep and use long after the program ends!

This engaging program gives students a chance to explore healthcare careers, learn valuable life-saving skills, and gain confidence through hands-on experiences.

Healthcare Heroes is proudly presented through a partnership between Gogebic Community College, Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District (GOISD), and TRIO 906.

🚑🩺 Ready to become a Healthcare Hero this summer?

Students grades 6–8 are invited to explore careers in healthcare and emergency response through hands-on activities and real-world experiences at GCC Summer Youth Programs!

Participants will:
✅ Learn basic first aid skills
✅ Tour local healthcare facilities and interact with professionals
✅ Explore a MedEvac helicopter, fire trucks, and ambulances
✅ Meet and talk with emergency responders and healthcare workers
✅ Build teamwork and leadership skills through hands-on activities
