Thank you all for your prayers, texts and notes of encouragement as today is the 15 year milestone marking Cole's passing. It is a date and time (11:28 a.m. to be exact) that I will not be able to forget. Although it's been 15 years I can remember that day like yesterday.

I wanted to share with you all a song that my sister sent me this morning. I honestly didn't have any idea how much I needed to hear this today. Literally put me on my knees in tears. Our family sincerely appreciates all of you, Love you all!!

One of the previous prayer requests we earlier mentioned was one for a long standing volunteer of Cole's Foundation. Please continue to keep Kelly Bollinger in your prayers. She has had multiple biopsies and they all came back as cancer. She is scheduled to do surgery on June 14th, 28th, July 6th, 18th and August 1st.

We truly thank you Kelly for all the time, energy, and commitment that you have had for the foundation. Even through this difficult time you have been faithful. May you feel the prayers of so many as you continue week by week. We love you!

Who has the Yoke?

The other day I went flying with my two boys, Channing and Hayes. As you can see by the picture Hayes had his turn flying the airplane and he sure enjoyed it as he aimlessly turned through the air. It wasn't until after as I was looking through the pictures that this thought came to my mind. Who has the Yoke when your life is at stake? As my 4 year old was making his turns it is easy to understand this analogy. Left to himself and without guidance it wouldn't be long and our enjoyable afternoon would turn into a day that would end with a news report of a small plane crash. No turning back, no redo, certainly no opportunity to go around and try that again.

We have a teacher, and ultimate guide who not only knows how to fly but wrote the master instruction manual. He did the training and earned his stripes in order for us to fully trust our lives in His care. I am urging you to consider flying with the one who WILL always and forever hold the yoke. In your life please, please consider who you're trusting to hold the Yoke of your life? When we reach the end there will be no turning back, no redo, and no opportunity to go around and try again.

Jesus Loves you so much and wants you to trust in Him today. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved! Acts 16:31.

Update from Glen:

Marshfield diagnosed Kailum today with something called Leigh's syndrome. You can google it if you want as that will give you more info than I can at the moment. We have been working with Mayo basically since we left Marshfield to see if they can help but haven't made it too far due to missing information that I have been digging up as they request it. With this new information, Marshfield is going to work with Mayo to speed this process along. We are told Mayo has a specialist who has been working extensively with this rare mitochondrial disease and should be able to let us know if there is anything they can do for him. We've seen how the prayers of God's faithful people have worked in the past and ask that you would keep him in your prayers as we continue forward.

We wanted to ask for your prayers for another very special volunteer and current Board Member. Would you please also join with us and remember Kelly Bollinger in your prayers as she has been ongoingly battling skin cancer for the past three years. She has had countless biopsies and scans to try stay ahead of the growth with another body scan forthcoming in May. Please pray for clear scans and strength for her during this time.

The very first event in Washington DC Cole’s Foundation participated in was called Cure Fest. Here are some photo’s from those two events. Both Kelly and Sandy participated and are pictured.

For many of you who have followed Cole’s Foundation over the years there are two names that are very familiar. Sandy Daron and Caterina Grove both of which have donated countless hours supporting families and helping the foundation. We write this post asking for prayers on their behalf.

Caterina has been hospitalized with a heart attack and is currently in the hospital. Please pray for her continued healing.

Sandy Daron’s grandchild was born premature and has been dealing with complications as a result. A go fund me page link is being shared for anyone to view.

Update on Kailum:

Glen and Marria were able to finally come home today with Kailum. He is doing well enough with some at home equipment and along with Oxygen. He will be going through outpatient testing in the coming days and weeks. The family has been super appreciative of all your thoughts and prayers. Thank you!

Update on Kailum:

Sorry for the delay in updating!

From Glen:
As you seen in the pic yesterday, they have been pulling off Kailums oxygen during the day in hopes that he doesn't get too dependent on it. He has been doing good with that so far. Praise the Lord! He has been fighting with some twitching lately which makes him fairly uncomfortable. We are praying that goes away. The Neurologists are reaching out to colleagues for some help with Kailums case so hopefully they gain some knowledge through that. There was mention of starting a plan to go home and do additional testing as outpatient but that will depend on his progress over this week and what direction the Neurologists go with testing. In the meantime, they are putting together a plan for what equipment he would need at home if it progresses to that point.

Update on Kailum:

Kailum’s exome sequencing tests came back today as negative. That is good but at the same time doesn’t leave much for answers as to some of his continued challenges. We appreciate your prayers and ask that you continue to pray for the doctors in understanding. Thank you!
