WHAT A FANTASTIC YOUNG EAGLE RALLY TODAY!!!
(parents please post your pics in the comments!!!)
WHOOP WHOOP 🙌🙌
We had a bunch of new fliers today.
It’s incredible to witness “definite apprehension” turn into “I WANNA BE A PILOT!!!” That just makes all of us at EAA 309 giddy inside.
You can tell the kids that want to do it for fun, or for their family, or take it to the highest levels of aviation.
It’s also EXTREMELY COOL, to see our monthly regular kids. You grow a bond of trust with them and their parents. You start to share moments with them that become inside jokes over the next months & years of events.
Soon, your participants turn into “ground volunteers” and they start talking to the newest Young Eagles.
It’s basically “The Circle of Flight”.
See what I did there?
(Lion King reference 🦁)
Chapter 309, as always, would like to thank our host airport, Lincolnton-Lincoln County Regional Airport.
Yall are awesome.
Thank you to our pilots that volunteer their time, their planes, their patience, and their GAS money!!!
😩💰💰💰💸💸💸😩
Also thank you to our ground crew for marshaling the planes and parents around the ramp area, keeping everyone safe.
Also, the crew checking the kids into the event and assigning airplanes.
And finally to our experienced chapter members, for talking with the parents about the intricacies of flight and flight training opportunities.
Our monthly dinner gathering will be this Monday evening, 6pm - ? at El Toro Mexican Grill and Bar in Cornelius.
Our guest speaker will be going through the new “MOSAIC” rules & guidelines.
On Tuesday of this week, we have our weekly “Build Night” at 117 Doolittle Lane Mooresville, NC, starting at 5:30pm, until 7:30pm. After that we head to Johnny Brusco's New York Style Pizza for pizza & wings.
See ya there!
Everyone have a blessed Sunday.
Make some memories with your loved ones.
Take care,
HASH ✌🏾😎🤙🏾
