The needs of youth in foster care often doesn’t end when they hit adulthood, but options exist! Help spread word about available programs or be willing to be a mentor to a young person entering adulthood. No one should have to journey alone ❤️

Thank you to our entire community for the support you show all year, but especially this Christmas. We are blown away by the outpouring of gifts for the wishlists we posted. This year EVERY SINGLE item was purchased AND additional funds donated that will be distributed to the families. It may seem small, but the impact is enormous.

Having to take on a child suddenly with very little financial help has been hard on me, but I just keep going! We are so honored to have been awarded this grant! Thank you Iron Area Health Foundation for helping us fulfill our mission to support kids in care in our community.

The Iron Area Health Foundation recently awarded a Grant in the amount of $1,500 to the U.P. Foster Closet of Iron County. The grant money will be used to support the purchase of clothing, hygiene products and supplies, school supplies and shoes for Iron County youth ages birth-17 years who are in Foster care. This support helps guarantee that the youth have the needed supplies to promote their health and wellbeing during a very difficult time. The IAHF is very pleased to support the Foster Closet of Iron County in providing these essential items. Thanks to our team of amazing volunteers we’ve been making some great progress at the Foster Closet allowing us to better support our local families.

We do find ourselves in need of the following items:
- Totes with lids
- Reusable shopping bags (any size, great for sending items home for the kiddos)
- Tote shelving
