ADULT EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
ZONTA CLUB OF IRON MOUNTAIN-KINGSFORD‼️‼️

The Zonta Club of the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Area has established the Nora Flemington Scholarship. The scholarship shall be granted in the amount of $1,500 (one thousand five hundred dollars) for the current school year. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to adult women who wish to further their education in preparation for re-entry into the job market, or to women who have completed their undergraduate degree and wish to pursue graduate or professional studies.

All information will be held in strict confidence.

ELIGIBILITY

1. The woman shall come from a background of modest means and possess a sincere desire to further her education and career.

2. The woman must be a high school graduate, at least 22 years of age, and live in Dickinson, Iron, Florence, or Marinette Counties.

3. A college or university graduate will be accepted for a scholarship for graduate or professional school upon completion of under graduate credits and acceptance into such a program. No minimum age requirement applies in these circumstances.

4. The scholarship recipient will be expected to commence the school year in the fall semester of the current year.

5. The scholarship recipient must take a minimum of 8 (eight) hours of credit per semester/term.


ADDENDUM

A scholarship may be revoked by a majority vote of the Zonta board because of:

1. Criminal or anti-social conduct of the recipient.

2. Filing false information on the application.

3. Scholastic inadequacy of the recipient; A “C” or two-point GPA must be maintained.

4. For any other good cause as the board may, in its sole discretion, determine.
