United Way Spotlight:

Family Ties has been open since the beginning of March. We followed strict reopening guidelines provided by UPCAP and Dickinson Iron Health Department. It has been a true joy to be serving our precious participants again. For several long months activity packages and assurance calls were made to each individual at least once per week to keep them engaged. It just wasn't the same. Caregivers were starting to burn-out. Being opened has allowed us to provide respite for the caregiver and share our love and compassion to our participants in person. The pandemic has taught us how precious each and every day is in our Family Ties Center.

Dickinson County 4-H Proud Equestrian Program:
The MSUE 4-H Program is currently planning for the annual Dickinson County 4-H Proud Equestrian Program that will be taking place August 9th-13th at the Dickinson County Fairgrounds. This is a therapeutic horseback riding program for youth and young adults, who have special needs, in Dickinson County and surrounding areas. Through this program riders are able to develop and hone their sense of balance, coordination, muscle tone, confidence, self-esteem, discipline and social growth.
