The St. Andrews Woman’s Club is proud to be part of our state federation, GFWC South Carolina, as well as the national General Federation of Woman’s Clubs (GFWC). Together we are united in serving our communities.

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, GFWC members came together for the International Day of Service, joining in a shared commitment to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and working toward communities free from domestic and s*xual violence.

Domestic and s*xual violence affects millions around the world and here in the United States. GFWC highlights the scope of this issue with statistics from the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: "it is estimated that between 736 million to 862 million women, aged 15 years or older, have experienced domestic and/or s*xual violence. Within the United States... more than 16 million people are affected every year."

In honor of this international effort, our club prepared a home cooked meal for Lighthouse for Life and presented two stocked Freedom Bags. Lighthouse for Life is a local organization that fights to eradicate human trafficking in the Midlands by educating our community and empowering survivors to regain control of their lives.
