Lots of love and laughter at The Friendly Door this week! ❤️

We were honored to have Armor of Light perform at our Valentine’s Luncheon, bringing beautiful music and joy to our seniors. A big thank you to Braden Southard for the wonderful performance and to our beloved Greg Polly for smoking up the most amazing brisket.

We are truly blessed by this incredible center and the special moments we get to share together. 💕

Come enjoy live worship music and a wonderful meal survey by our team!

All reservations must be in by Wednesday February 11th. Lunch will be served at 12 noon. Over 60 $5, under $7. You won’t get a meal and experience like this anywhere else!

The friendly door will be delivering meals on wheels tomorrow but will remain closed for our congregant meal due to the parking lot still being hazardous to our clients!

Keep an eye out for your delivery, please be patient and bare with us & don’t forget to thank your volunteers! We couldn’t do it with out them! ❤️❤️

THANK YOU to our city guys for getting our parking lot cleaned up and salt put down! Your efforts have not gone unnoticed!

To all our clients we hope you’re staying in and staying warm! We will be closed tomorrow Jan 29th & readdress the road conditions for Friday!! God bless🤍🤍🤍

The Friendly Door WILL be delivering Meals on Wheels today. We understand the roads are still slippery but we have Seniors that need to be checked on and need the meals. It may take us awhile to get them all delivered but we will do our best to get meals to all our members. If you feel safe getting out and would like to help deliver call the center 592-9311.

Due to further worsening conditions of the road The Friendly Door will remain closed Tuesday Jan 27th as well!
Per our fire department “The roads in town are DANGEROUS.“
PLEASE do not attempt to drive on the roads! They are now ICE!
Stay in, stay SAFE!

The Iowa park school system has canceled school for Monday due to weather and bad travel conditions therefore The Friendly Door will also be closed and no Meals on Wheels delivery Monday.
We want to thank our volunteers for helping send out extra shelf stable meals last week to prepare for weather closures. But, With concerns of everyone’s safety, especially our volunteers we feel it is best not to deliver meals.
PLEASE stay in and stay safe.
