A big thank you to Mitzi Petersen and Dawn McCleish from Central Rivers Area Education Agency for being our program this week! Mitzi is the Work-Based Learning Coordinator and Dawn is the Work Experience Coordinator for IFA High School students. Mitzi and Dawn work hard to connect students and local businesses to provide students with valuable real life work experiences while still in school. Thank you both for educating us on the important work you do!

A great big thank you to our very own Lions Members, Michael Krogh and Michelle Nederhoff, for being our program today! They shared with us a full wrap-up of the 50126 event in downtown Iowa Falls last Friday. The event brought over a thousand people to our beautiful downtown and we are thankful for committee members, like Michael and Michelle, who made this event happen! 🤘🏻🎸🎉🎶

We wrapped our last KidSight screening for the school year at Pineview Elementary this week! We were able to screen over 50 preschool students in an effort to catch vision issues early in their school career. Thank you to Lions Club members Gwen and Nichole for their help with this screening!

Thank you to Zee Niazy for being our program today! Zee has been a beloved member of the Iowa Falls community for 13.5 years now. He gave us an update today on his path to citizenship and even agreed to become the newest member of our Lions Club! We can think of no one better! Thank you, Zee! 🇺🇸

We are very thankful to be a Schiller Fund grant recipient! With the $2,500 grant money, we will continue to fund our eye glass coupon project that provides $100 coupons for glasses for any Iowa Falls-Alden student. We are so appreciative of this generous gift. Pictured is Lions Club member, Michelle Nederhoff, accepting the grant!

Make plans to have lunch at the Rock Run Kennel Club meal next Friday, April 17th. Proceeds from the meal benefit Boz, the Rock Run therapy dog owned by Lions Club member Susan Jones! 🐾🐶

A big thank you to Iowa Falls - Alden High School Principal, Kyle Hutchinson, for taking the time to show us around the new additions and renovations to the high school. It was impressive to see all of the improvements and progress made to update so many spaces in the building!

Thank you to Scott Krueger, Rehab Services Director at Hansen Family Hospital, for being our program last week! Scott shared with us the updates happening with his department as rehab will be moving offsite in the coming months to a new building with a huge increase in space and services. We are thankful for the care that Scott and his team provide for our community!
