Thank you to Wes Wiese, Director of Hardin County Conservation, for being our program yesterday!

Wes gave us an update on the many projects he and his staff have currently completed and are working on, including beautiful new Lodge in Steamboat Rock.

Our county is fortunate to have Wes working so hard to promote and utilize the amazing natural resources we have in our area!

Today we celebrated that we are officially the largest Lions Club in our 9NC District with 70 members strong! 🎉🎉
Randy Winters, Club President, made sure we had a delicious cake to celebrate this milestone, thank you to his wife Dianna for making it!

Thank you to Blake Reding and Bart Kramer with Iowa Select Farms/ Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation, for being our program today! Blake and Bart gave us an update on The Bell Tower project happening at the former First Baptist Church building. They are working to restore and update the beautiful 1868 building to be a showpiece and ensure it remains a cornerstone in this community for many years to come!

Megan shared with us NextGen’s Battery Energy Storage System project with plans to build a battery storage facility near Radcliffe.

It was fascinating to learn about this new technology and we appreciate her taking the time to educate us!

The Iowa Falls Lions Club had the opportunity to sponsor the beverage garden this year and we had the best time! 🍻🦁

This was truly a community event though and we have many THANK YOU’S to extend for helping us pull this off!

🇺🇸 Hardin County E-Squad for the use of their gravel lot to park the refer truck

🇺🇸 IFPD for garage space

🇺🇸 IFFD for garage space and impromptu tent

🇺🇸 Opal Foods for the donation of the refer truck

🇺🇸 HyVee for the use of their loading dock and donating a pallet of bottled water

🇺🇸 Dunphy Motors for the use of the truck and trailer ALL weekend

🇺🇸 Chamber for the use of their pools, “cans only” trash bins, wrist bands and beverage tokens

🇺🇸 Mike Dennis for updating our Lion

🇺🇸 Green Belt Bank for the use of tents, tent weights, coolers, water coolers, allowing us to pass out koozies

🇺🇸 Precision Farm Management for refer fuel and ranger

🇺🇸 Hotel/Motel committee for the approval of funds

🇺🇸 John Zoske for use of tent and string lights
