Some of the artwork created by our lovely Free Art Studio attendees is now on temporary display at the Iowa City Public Library! 😄

Join us in celebration at our open house reception on April 26th (more info below) or give our exhibit a visit this month.

We deeply appreciate each and every person who has attended and/or supported the Free Art Studio thus far. This exhibit is an homage to the positive and inclusive community resource that you all have helped us to build. 🎨♥️

Next week, on the 22nd, we will have our speed portrait event! We will pair you up with some new friends to draw quick portraits. Bad portraits encouraged. We want to emphasize that the purpose of this event is not to produce beautiful, finished works of art, but to meet new people and to have fun. We encourage you to come alone to this event! If you've been too nervous to attend The Free Art Studio without a friend, this is the event for you. The structure will ensure that you have someone to talk to, but you only have to talk to them for a short time.
