AFLV 🫶🏼

This past week our sisters Abinadi Rivera-Aguirre, Citlali Ortiz, and Jocelyn Macias attended the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values Central (AFLV Central). ✈️

Through this conference, they were able to connect with different council leaders across the nation, while learning vital tools to bring back to campus.

Abinadi shared this experience with us and was grateful for the opportunity that allowed her to bond and build relationships with everyone they met. 💕🌹

Our sisters Elizabeth Flores and Jennifer Cano attended the Emerging Educators 8th Academy. The event focused on bringing teachers and to help provide support, foster connections and strategies for the education profession in workshops. They were able to meet the National Teacher of the Year Award: Kurt Russell. 🏆📚

💫What does being a Lambda mean to you?💫

Being a part of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. means a lot of different things. It means that there are always people that are there to help and support you with whatever you need. It has definitely helped me meet and really connect with others who come from similar cultural backgrounds and share similar experiences as me. As well as just being in touch with the Latino community in Iowa City. It feels like a home away from home, a space where I feel safe and welcomed by a support system full of people I really care about.
