Join Do Good Community Connections as we travel to Louisville, KY, and Williamstown, KY, for our 3rd annual youth missions' trip with Youthworks! Throughout the trip, our group will have the opportunity to build relationships with community members and explore sites like Waterfront Park or Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby. We will participate in service-learning projects designed for teenagers to equip young leaders, support local partners, and spark a lifelong passion for serving others. We will tour the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter at the famous Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY. The trip will take place from July 26 to August 1, 2026. This mission trip is designed for youth ages 13 through 18 years old.

The deadline for all applications is April 17th, 2026.

Happy Saturday!!! We've been busy working over here🙌🏽 For the past several months we've been organizing, feeding our community and planning for an exciting year of service. We are so grateful, each month we have volunteers who come together to prepare meals and distribute them with love.

Our collective community efforts have the potential to yield significant positive outcomes. We extend our gratitude to the Iowa Black Nurses Association and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. for their collaboration with Do Good in ensuring the success of this event. We also appreciate the contributions from RSFIC, the Johnson County Interfaith Coalition, and all community volunteers who dedicated their time and resources to maximize our outreach and support.

Through the generous contributions of numerous individuals, we successfully distributed over 100 turkey and Thanksgiving side meal packages directly to our community and to Open Heartland, a commendable organization that supports hundreds of immigrant families within our community.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community. Yesterday, we prepared and delivered 80 nutritious meals to Shelter House Iowa City, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness. In addition, we served another 50 meals directly to individuals and families in our neighborhood, ensuring that we could reach those who might be struggling right around us. It's heartwarming to witness the impact of our efforts, and we are committed to continuing this vital work to support our community.
