Our Spring Term has come to a successful close! 🌸

We are so proud of all our students who persevered through the season, showed up week after week, actively participated, and grew a little more each time. Along the way, Chinese skills developed, confidence grew, and new friendships formed.

Be proud of yourselves and all that you accomplished. Enjoy a well-deserved break, and we look forward to seeing many of you again at Summer Camp! ☀️🐼

It was meaningful to booth at Horn Elementary’s year-end party. Horn has been part of MCA’s story for the past two years through our Chinese after-school program, and many students have continued learning with us along the way. Seeing familiar faces again made the evening feel especially special.

Our Chinese Mobile Library is free to browse at events, along with Chinese city coloring sheets designed by former students. We’re happy to bring them to more local events. Contact us and use us! 💛

We were honored to booth and perform at Coralville Asian Festival this past weekend! So proud of our students for introducing themselves and singing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” in Chinese. It was a hot day, and we truly appreciate our students and families for this special performance. 💛

So much fun at Penn's annual Glow Show! 🎉🐼📚 We were so amazed by the students’ beautiful artwork inspired by Asian cultures!

Families explored our Chinese Mobile Library, enjoyed the craft station, and picked up new panda stickers. Things were so busy that an official booth photo never happened 😄 but the energy and excitement all evening were wonderful.

The Chinese after-school program at Penn is wrapping up soon, but it will return this Fall. Stay tuned! ❤️

☀️ Chinese Summer Camp Update!

Due to strong interest, we’re adding a SPEAK! conversational skills session for PM-only students. Perfect for true beginners to start speaking Mandarin from Day 1. Full-day students will continue afternoon activities and may join the session for review.

📅 June 22–26
🕘 9am–noon and/or noon–3pm
📍 North Liberty Rec Center
👕 T-shirt included while supplies last
