Hello everyone,
Going into the NOVA site and gathering numbers for our chapter, I only see 18 members from our organization still enrolled. Just 6 months ago we had 35. I want to stress the importance of our Nurses Organization of the Veterans Affairs for our Iowa group. For me, belonging to a national group of just VA nurses is like having an extended family. No matter where you live at, we are all trying to achieve the same thing. Having a voice that is recognized by the office of nursing services, the legislation, and communicating and advocating for the Department of Veterans Affairs is what NOVA strives for. Just think of what many voices could do with that. I advocate for my family, my job, my teammates, Veterans and their families, and all of the VA nurses, because it is my passion. I hope that those of you that have not renewed your membership do so again and spread the word! Join NOVA!

NOVA hosts events that offer professional development, networking, and education focused on enhancing veteran care, leadership, and advocacy for nursing professionals.

We are asking for donation for our upcoming Nurses Month/week. We also recognize each group of employees for their professions. Cardiology week is this week, next week in Mental health profession recognition. This is ongoing all year long and it is just a way to celebrate everyone's profession and a great job doing what they love to do.
