Kesem at University of Iowa Kesem is a nationwide community, led by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent's cancer.

Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent's cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Camp Kesem at University of Iowa was founded in 2016 and supports children in the Iowa community by providing a free week-long summer camp experience and year-round Through and Beyond support services. Our chapter is operated by approximately 60 student volunteers and serves approximately 70 campers ages 6-18 per year. Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
