The Central Midwest HERC is one of 18 regional affiliates of the national Higher Education Recruitment Consortium and represents Iowa, eastern Nebraska, and western Illinois. As of July 2018, twenty-five institutions are members of the Central Midwest HERC and we are growing!

Mission: The Central Midwest HERC supports the efforts of each of its member institutions to recruit and retain the most outstanding and diverse faculty, administrators and staff through the sharing of information and resources. Through collaboration, innovation, and mutual investment, Central Midwest HERC seeks to engage in employment outreach efforts to achieve diversity and excellence in faculty, staff, and senior management applicant pools and to seek solutions to dual-career challenges in recruitment and retention.
