Our goal is to build community and acceptance through events that celebrate diversity. Contact: [email protected] Let's make it a great day for everyone.

Pride is about more than parades and waving the rainbow flags. Every event builds community, teaches acceptance, and celebrates diversity. We place our main event, the Pride Festival, in the heart of Iowa City's Ped Mall to be as visible and accessible as possible. We offer fun summer time treats like cotton candy and temporary tattoos so entire families can enjoy the day. We collect q***r friendly churches, businesses, and organizations together in the public space to build community and connections that help everyone feel included, welcomed, and supported. Part of that inclusiveness is making sure the main events--Pride Festival and the Pride Parade--are free and fun. ASL interpreters will be at our mainstage to the right of stage at the Pride festival. We budget, fundraise, and strategize throughout the year so that day does not divide us into haves and have-nots. It's a day when we all have a rich community. Iowa City Pride is very excited to announce that we will be hosting a “Carving Out Space” fall fest! This family-friendly event will combine seasonal fall activities with opportunities for connection, education, and community building. It will be held at The Northside, located on the corner of N. Linn St and E. Market St.

Pride month may be over, but our pride never is 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️💗 We’re extending a major thank you to all of the people that got involved with the festival this year. We love our community and would not be able to do this without you all!! We’re ready for the rest of a wonderful year of events 🫶

WE LOVE YOU IOWA CITY !! 🌈💗

Thank you so so much for showing up and showing your pride yesterday! We are endlessly grateful for our community’s support, from donations to volunteering to just showing up. We had an amazing time yesterday and hope you did too!! More photos and videos to come ✨
