The safety of our Chamber Members and Community Members are important to us as a Board of Directors, we have decided to postpone the Networking Breakfast originally on January 23rd.

It has been moved to January 30th. The breakfast will still take place at West Michigan Works of Ionia and will still be sponsored by Montcalm Community College.

The safety of our Chamber Members and Community Members are important to us as a Board of Directors, we have decided it is in the best interest of everyone that we postpone the Annual Dinner.

The new date will be Saturday, April 13th at Shadow Ridge. All tickets purchased will be honored. If you have tickets and that date will not work, email [email protected] and we will get a refund back to you.

Please everyone stay safe out there. We can't wait to celebrate the accomplishments of 2023 when it gets a little warmer.

We are so excited about the Annual Dinner on Saturday the 13th and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you! We understand people’s concerns about the weather, and we are keeping a close eye on it. Currently, the show is still on, but we will be looking at the weather report Saturday morning and will decide. In the event that the Annual Dinner is cancelled, we will communicate on Facebook and send out via email. Please look to our page for up-to-date information!

Thank you to everyone for shopping local this Holiday season. We had another successful Holiday passport. I wanted to thank our sponsors of Sparrow Ionia Hospital, Ionia DDA, Portland DDA, Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, Ionia County Economic Alliance and Printing Essentials. This years winners are Denise Peabody and Shasta Cole. You can pick up your prizes at the Chamber office Tuesday-Thursday, between Noon and four. Santa's Mailbox
Dates: November 17 through December 18
Write a letter to Santa Claus, place it in an envelope and address it to Santa Clause, North Pole (no stamp needed) and put it in the big red mailbox in front of the Ionia Armory Community Center in downtown Ionia. Don't forget to include your return address to receive a reply from Santa!

Holiday Shopping Passport:
Friday, November 10 through Monday, January 1

Shop local this holiday season for your chance to win a local Grand Prize package!

Pick up your passport from a participating business.
Present your passport to participating businesses at the time of purchase to get your passport stamped.
Completed passports can be emailed ([email protected]), dropped off in the drop box outside the Armory (not the Santa box!) or mailed to the Ionia Area Chamber of Commerce (439 W. Main St. Ionia, MI 48846). All passports must be turned in by noon on Monday, January 1st. Prizes drawn on Tuesday during Chamber Chat podcast at ~12pm.

Parade Entry Important Info:
Parade entries with moving vehicle, or animals that may become anxious by unexpected approach or noises are asked to have spotters (2-4 persons) walk with your entry to ensure safety of your team and spectators.

There is no throwing of candy allowed - we do not wish to have children running into the darkened street for candy risking their safety. Candy and information can be distributed by having walkers (2-4) with your entry walking along the sides of the crowd along the street and handing out what you would like distributed.

Please, NO LIVE SANTA OR MRS. CLAUSE in the parade - they are our Grand Marshalls and have already been arranged for.
