Cozy Cabin Camp Weekend has come to an end!

This past weekend, we joined three other troops from within our Service Unit for a fun weekend under one roof at camp. New friendships and lots of laughter was made this weekend, also let's not forget the many dance breaks. ;)

Many different activities took place from:

🐾 Donation Blankets to the Animal Shelter
🐾 Movies
🐾 Games
🐾 Marshmallow Igloo
🐾 Outdoor time in snow with colored water
🐾 Valentines Painting
🐾 Hot Cocoa
🐾 Crockpot Bar
🐾 Camp Songs
🐾 Plus more and most importantly lots of laughter and friendships made!

Tonight the girls were let loose in Meijer and took on a Girl Scout Thanksgiving Budget Challenge!

Each group was given a $50 budget to create a full Thanskgiving meal. They worked on budgeting, looking at serving sizes and comparing packaging/brands with pricing. Regrouping after looking at the items within their cart and swapping things out to get the better value for the meals. In the end each group came under budget!

Both full meals will now be donated to local families within Ionia!

Tonight some of our girls attended our Service Units CSI Event. Girls were finger printed, learned about prints, DNA swabs, decoded mystery challenge to solve the crime plus lots more. Even the Ionia County Sheriff department was there to talk to the girls!

Happy Halloween! 🧡🖤
October was filled with a couple Halloween fun days. We had our Halloween party a couple days ago. Which consisted of painting wooden pumpkins, making masks, pin the nose, boo buckets that were randomly dropped off around town, card making plus more and lots of snacks.
Earlier this month we attended our Service Units Halloween party. It was girl led by levels so the girls got to mingle with other scouts from different troops between Ionia County and Lowell. There was many different stations, but not a lot of pictures due to the fun being had!
Also this month the girls worked on decorating bags for Im Kids 3rd Meal along with starting their recycled project of making dog toys.

Impromptu meeting a couple weeks ago so it was a small group. Girls learned about Memorial Day and flag etiquette. We followed it with a couple crafts and making a poster about what freedom means to them.
