Sept Long Range Match Results
Thanks for coming out today.
First things first -- my apologies for not thanking Damian at the end of the match, but Damian showed up early and helped Josh and I set up the pits, got the coolers out at 600 and 1k, and brought things back in. Thanks, Damian, it was appreciated!
We had some new shooters come out today too, and it's always great to see new faces. Libby, good job for hanging in there through some mechanical issues, and glad that once those were sorted out, it was pretty awesome seeing you make those long range impacts! Jett, nice meeting you and hope to see both you and Libby come out to future LR practices and matches, and steel matches as well.
Winds were tricky during both relays, with many spotters all across on some strings further out. Glad shooters were able to get the wind sorted out and get back on target. We had a safe match, nobody got yelled at for anything, and we all got out at an early time.
Headshot challenge winners: Josh Gibson and Chris Schulz taking it yet again! That's the second win for each of them! I don't know what cheat-code these two are using but that's damned impressive.
First Relay:
Congrats, Josh, on your first win! No more First Relay for you!
Shalini came in at 2nd place and had the highest X-count for Relay 1 with 6.
And last-minute sign-up Aaron Foster came in at 3rd place in his first match ever -- great job, Aaron!
Second Relay:
Arvind took first with 405 pts, highest of the day
Art Courville came in second place with the highest X-count of the day with 8
Justin Wedel kicked some ass coming in at 3rd place with 358 pts.
