🛡🐾 IGP Protection — Courage with Clarity 🐾🛡

Protection in IGP is often misunderstood.

It is not uncontrolled aggression.
It is not unpredictability.

It is structured work designed to test a dog’s courage, stability, and responsiveness to the handler.

The dog must search, guard, engage when appropriate, and release instantly when told.

Grip quality.
Control.
Nerve.
Clarity.

The helper isn’t there to “fight the dog.”
He is there to present a consistent, measurable test of the dog’s temperament and training.

A strong protection phase shows a dog that is confident, clear-headed, and fully under control.

Power with brakes.
Intensity with discipline.
Strength with partnership.

That’s IGP protection. Will your dog listen like this under Arousal? Our Dogs will. Have a high drive dog looking for a job? Check this sport out.

👃🌾 IGP Tracking — The Quiet Phase 🌾👃

When most people think of IGP, they picture obedience or protection.

But tracking?
Tracking is where it begins.

In IGP tracking, a dog follows a human-laid scent trail across natural terrain — grass, dirt, fields — often hundreds of paces long.

The dog isn’t searching randomly.
They are methodically following microscopic ground disturbance and human scent, step by step.

Nose deep.
Breathing steady.
Mind fully engaged.

Along the track are small articles the dog must indicate — proof they are not just moving forward, but truly understanding the scent picture.

It’s quiet work.
Technical work.
Focused work.

There’s no cheering.
No fast movement.
Just concentration, partnership, and precision.

Tracking showcases a dog’s ability to problem-solve, commit to a task, and trust their nose completely.

It’s calm.
It’s intense.
It’s one of the purest displays of working-dog instinct you’ll ever see.

That’s IGP tracking.

🎯 IGP Obedience — Precision in Motion

🐾🎯 IGP Obedience — Power Under Control 🎯🐾

IGP obedience isn’t casual heeling around a park.

It’s precision.
It’s intensity.
It’s partnership in motion.

Dogs work off-leash in a formal routine that includes focused heeling, motion exercises, retrieves over jumps, and a long-distance send-out.

Everything is judged on clarity and control.

Heads up.
Shoulders aligned.
Explosive retrieves.
Instant responses.

But what makes IGP obedience special isn’t just accuracy — it’s attitude.

The dog isn’t forced.
They’re engaged.

Drive is there.
Energy is there.
But it’s channeled.

It’s a balance of enthusiasm and discipline that turns movement into art.

When obedience is done well, it looks effortless.

It isn’t. Power and Precision. A difficult combination. An amazing journey.

That’s IGP obedience.

Does your high drive dog feel out of control? Consider this sport to help you form an amazing team with your dog.
