What is Hope Unlimited's Children's Advocacy Center?

A child-focused center where children of all ages can speak to trained professionals about allegations of child abuse. Referrals are then made for other services such as therapy, medical care, court advocacy and much more.

The Center provides comprehensive and sensitive direct services to children and non-offending family members affected by sexual assault or other traumatic abuse using a multi-disciplinary team approach with law enforcement, child protective services, and advocacy services. Support groups are also available for non-offending parents and caregivers.

The Child Advocacy Center of Hope Unlimited is a fully accredited member of the National Childrenโ€™s Alliance. For more information, call (620) 365-7566 or via email at [email protected].

Together we can END child abuse in our community!

One of Hope Unlimited's core services is our Supervised Visitation Program!

The Child Exchange and Parenting Center was created to provide children and their families with a neutral, safe and secure environment in which to conduct parental exchanges as well as court ordered supervised visitation. The Center serves the 31st Judicial District counties of Allen, Neosho, Woodson and Wilson, along with Anderson County in the 4th Judicial District. Supervised visits and monitored exchanges occur by appointment only. Families may be referred to the Center by court order, agency referral or self-referral. Priority is given to those parties residing in the counties served by Hope Unlimited, Inc.

Each parent must attend an initial intake interview before visitation or exchange services can be scheduled. During the interview, Center personnel will review the guidelines of the program with the participants. (Nominal intake fee is required by both parties.)

Safety is at the forefront of our mission! Schedule your supervised visit intake today with our Visitation Coordinator at 620-365-7566 ๐Ÿงก

If you are in an abusive relationship and have pets in your home, it can be a good idea to make your pets part of your safety plan. Here are some suggestions ๐Ÿพ:

๐Ÿ’œ If youโ€™re thinking about getting a protective order, consider that some states allow pets to be a part of these.
๐Ÿ’œ Take steps to prove ownership of your pet: have them vaccinated and license them with your town, ensuring that these registrations are made in your name.
๐Ÿ’œ Talk to friends, family or your veterinarian about temporary care for your pet. If that is not an option, The Purple Leash Project, a partnership between and helps make pet-friendly domestic violence shelters more accessible to survivors.

May is . ๐Ÿ  For domestic violence survivors, having access to safe, affordable housing can save their lives.

Unfortunately, a lack of housing options across the country means that survivors are often faced with impossible choices between abuse and homelessness.

Federal funding supports housing for survivors, but ongoing delays to this funding put survivors in danger. Take action NOW and tell Congress to address these dangerous funding delays: https://buff.ly/OyFNQiN

A child visited us this week wearing the most magnificent pair of light-up sunglasses and offered to share them with Oscar. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Oscar allowed it for approximately eight seconds. He looked incredible! He knew it. He walked away before anyone could get a photo. So we are using the next best pic......Oscar is not amused. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
