Panasonic has announced plans to repurpose production lines inside its U.S. plants, including De Soto, in order to produce energy storage systems for data centers. Currently, the De Soto facility makes batteries for electric vehicles.

If this NextEra Energy/Dominion Merger is allowed it will set the stage for an even faster track for Data Center Project Development. This in turn will encourage NextEra's desire to build more of their land gobbling Utility-Scale Solar and Wind Turbine Power Facilities to support AI Data Centers, blanketing massive swaths of our nation's rural, agriculturally zoned farm, ranch and hunting land. It will encourage more large scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS), High Voltage Transmission (HVDC) Corridors, and Eminent Domain abuse.

The merger will exponentially expand the geographic scope and scale over which NextEra can apply even greater powers to build massive energy projects.

Question everything, critical thinking is key. We the People of the United States of America can't be complacent.

The combined entity is expected to have an enterprise value of $420 billion and a combined market cap of around $250 billion. Already the largest utility in the world, NextEra Energy is extending its lead as it reaches more aggressively beyond the state of Florida. It will now have regulated utility businesses in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The acquisition will also add Dominion Energy's contract power operations to NextEra Energy's large, clean-energy-focused NextEra Energy Resources business.

With a combined enterprise value of $240 billion, this giant utility merger allows NextEra to expand beyond Florida.
