Wonderful time today at the Memorial Day Parade in Iola for some of the crew. Always fun when we get to get together with friends and the horses. Pamela Cotton and Lisa Bestul took care of Fabio and the adorable Guppy while Brittany Knauer and hubby Nick brought the girls to ride both the big ones and the feisty little ones. Rambler took care of his girl like a champ and Dragon was a super good boy. There was Shana and her riding companion (sorry, I didn't catch a name) who rode a pair of beautiful Frisians with us. Guppy wasn't too sure of them. :) A shout out to Ben and Charlie Wasrud for bringing up the back. And we always love to see the gorgeous Percherons pulling the wagon. Just a reminder that there are still campsites available on line. And get your mane and tail lights ordered for the Friday night ride after bingo!! FYI I bought mine from TEMU for a decent price. HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL AT THE RIDE Sept 11,12,13th!!!

Anyone interested in joining us for the Memorial Day Parade in Iola? Another great way to honor our veterans!

Staging is at the Iola-Scandinavia High School parking lot at 10am on May 25th - parade starts at 11am and goes from the high school to the park. Not a long route and you just ride back to the high school after.

No need to RSVP - feel free to comment or share, and just show up. We'll be in the back of the parade.

Hey fellow riders, we are looking for input on the idea of a "light night ride". Would be Friday evening after Bingo and relatively short. Thinking to the show grounds and back. Just a little fun for those who got into camp too late to ride the regular Friday loop. Would be lamp lite and easy to navigate so the kid riders can enjoy it also. Let us know your thoughts.

Today is the last day to pay for the site you had last year - don't say we didn't warn you! :)

Wanted to share with everyone where we donated the proceeds from the 2025 ride:

Tunnels to Towers - $2170.00
Ogdensburg Fire Department - $2000.00
Iola Lions Club - $3000.00
American Legion - $500.00
Manawa Equine - $500.00
Iola-Scandinavia Track Team - $300.00

We also have funds designated for future improvements to the Iola Car Show Campground.

One week left to reserve the site you had last year - anything unpaid on Feb. 1 will be open for anyone to reserve. We'll publish an updated camp map on Feb. 1 when we let folks know the campsites are open market!

Happy New Year, Riders!

If you purchased a site with us in 2025, you received your email reminder today that you have until 1/31/2026 to purchase the same site for this year.

Anything unpaid on Feb 1, 2026 will be available on the open market for anyone to purchase!

You'll get one more reminder a day ahead of the deadline.

Looking forward to the 2026 ride! May we have nearly perfect weather like last year. :)
