Hello Iola Band Alumni!
Please join us at our Friday Night Football game on October 8th! We'd love to have you all play with us in the stands!

Call time is 6:00pm at the EAST Entrance of the stadium. Please wear Iola colors if possible and jeans!

Leave me your name and your instrument and we'll have music prepared for you for Friday!

Interested in being a Band Sponsor?
This means that with a minimum donation of $50.00 you are supporting the band!
Your money will help with the purchase of t-shirts for every band student 6-12. Any funds remaining from sponsors will go towards the purchase of either: band trip fees (trying to take the kids on a weekend trip to St. Louis in October and hoping to take them to the Worlds of Fun Music Festival in the Spring), the purchase of new music for our music library, a stock of oil, reeds, and grease to keep the instruments in good condition, and any other items down the road that the program might need.
What’s in it for you?
Your business name or your own name as a supporter (you don’t have to own a business to become a sponsor!) will go on the back of the T-Shirt! Shirts will be worn year round, during pep-band assemblies and at games. Your business and/or name will also be announced when the band is marching onto the field during the football season: “We want to thank the following businesses and individuals…… for being band sponsors for the year!”

Special thanks to all the Band Alumni and supporters who contributed to the Bands last Saturday! We have raised $4,565.95 and money is still coming in!!! This is INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you SO much! I will attach photos of the new drumline equipment once everything arrives!

Also, I am cooking up an AMAZING idea for next year's Marching Band show. We are doing an 80's theme and I thought it would be incredible to incorporate the Alumni members in the show. If you're interested in participating please comment your name. You will play AND march some of the show is what I am going for! You'd need to be able to make it to some practices/music rehearsals for this to be pulled off the way I am hoping! Comment your name and your instrument!

I had a visit with Bob Hawk and Mary Kay Heard today! I am SO excited to get the Band Alumni involved with our current students!

Next Saturday, April 24th starting at 8:00am we have the Middle School Practice-a-Thon and the High School Pay to Play, Pay to Go Away fundraisers! Money goes toward replenishing the band activity account after purchasing a BRAND NEW DRUMLINE!!!! (Photos to come over the next month)

Please come hang out, meet the band students, and bring your instrument to help make some music! Meet you on the Square!
