Arden-Tabler CEOS/Berkeley County WV

Arden-Tabler CEOS/Berkeley County WV West Virginia Community Educational Outreach Service The Extension Service came into being with the Morrill Act on July 2, 1862 by President Lincoln.

This established a land-grant college in each state. When West Virginia University was founded in 1867, it was designated as the land-grant college. On December 14, 1914 the Farm Women's Club was established in Ohio County. Growing from that small start, through several name changes (Home Demonstration Clubs and Extension Homemakers Clubs), West Virginia Community Educational Outreach Service (CEO

S) now has more than 5,000 members throughout the state, and 140 in Berkeley County. For over 90 years, our organization has continued to enrich the lives of members by emphasizing a strong tradition of education, service and community development.
