The All-Star games and practices scheduled for tonight (6/12/26) at Whispering Pines Park have been CANCELLED due to inclement weather.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause! Please remember we have many more games scheduled and the All-Star athletes would love to see you in the stands cheering them on!

Please don't forget that All-Star athletes all around Citrus County have been working hard all season and could use your support! Stop by to watch a game and volunteer for a bit and show these young athletes that we support them!

These players have been getting outside, in the heat, and working hard so they are ready to put forth their best effort. Please swing by Whispering Pines to cheer them on and encourage them to keep working hard.

All nominations must be active coaches associated with Inverness Little League Baseball or Softball program, with at least three years of coaching experience.

Only coaches who are Diamond Leader certified are fully eligible for the award. All nominated coaches must have passed a background check and Abuse Awareness Training for the current year, as per Little League Volunteer rules.

The Little League® Coach of the Year award will recognize coaches that exhibit positive qualities of leadership and inspire kids to be the best they can be, both on and off the field.

Examples of leadership include showcasing honorable sportsmanship, demonstrating respect for other teams and athletes, always having a positive attitude in the face of challenges and more. Examples of inspiring Little Leaguers® include being a positive role model, encouraging Little Leaguers to be involved in their community, going above and beyond their duties as a Little League Coach to better their community, and more.

National Little League® Week (June 8-14, 2026)

The first leagues outside the United States were formed in 1950 on either side of the Panama Canal, the Pacific and Atlantic Little Leagues of Balboa.

The first Little League Baseball® World Series night game was Aug. 24, 1992.

The Little League Baseball World Series moved to South Williamsport in 1959 when Howard J. Lamade Stadium was opened. Prior to that, World Series games were held at “Original Field” on 4th street in Williamsport, which is still in use today.

🌟On 6/14/26 we are looking for 3️⃣0️⃣ volunteers to help with the All-Star games! 🌟

We need 4️⃣ UMPIRES; 2 ready to go at 2:15 PM and 2 ready at 5:45 PM- 1 behind the plate, 1 in the field for each game.

We need 9️⃣ PAPER SCOREBOOK KEEPERS and 9️⃣ SCOREBOARD OPERATORS throughout the day starting at 8:30 AM.

We also need 3️⃣ people to 🍔GRILL🌭 and 5️⃣people in CONCESSION throughout the day from 8:00AM - 8:00 PM.

Please comment "ME" or tag friends who may be willing to fulfill these roles then share so we can get as much assistance as possible to support these hardworking athletes!!

Feel free to come as a group 👥 We will sign off 📝on volunteer hours for students in need!

We need 1 PAPER SCOREBOOK KEEPERS and 1 SCOREBOARD OPERATORS throughout the day starting at 5:30 PM.

We also need 1 people to 🍔GRILL🌭 and 2 people in CONCESSION from 5:00- 8:45 PM.

Please comment "ME" or tag friends who may be willing to fulfill these roles then share so we can get as much assistance as possible to support these hardworking athletes!!
