Summer for most organizations seems a bit thinner in attendance, but our weekly meetings still continue. Whether it is hearing about what brought one of our members to this stage in life, to hearing from dynamic speakers, we are a family in a sense and rejoice and grieve together while we continue to learn as well. We welcomed our new president Dianne to the podium and her term began! JOIN US at 12 noon on Tuesdays at the E-School wing of the Withlacoochee Technical Center right in the heart of Inverness and see what we're all about!

Trish Thomas's legacy will continue to help the young people in our community with reaching their goals towards a good education! We have an update on memorial donations in Trish's name. Trish's work on our scholarship committee was done with care and precision. She often regretted that we could not give out more money because she felt that so many more of these candidates were deserving students and were in dire need of financial help. Her family is honoring her wishes and asking that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to our club foundation (ROTARY CLUB OF INVERNESS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION) and sent as follows:

THE ROTARY CLUB OF INVERNESS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
PO BOX 1317
INVERNESS, FL 34451-1317

You may also click on the QR code below and make a donation by credit card as well. It is found under "Judge Patricia Thomas Memorial."

Our members have had a busy weekend. This time it was sorting and packing medical equipment for RELIEF SHARE, a local non-profit that sends discarded, but still good medical equipment. These cases of hundreds of pieces of medical supplies are then sent to very needy areas of the world. Those areas include Ukraine, Argentina, and Haiti most recently.
