It's hard to believe, but it's time again to look around your house for donations to the Flea Market (the IGC Scholarship Booth) which, as usual, will be held at the Inverness Fair on Saturday, August 10 -the 2nd week-end in August. We are looking for toys, household goods, appliances, tools (the tool table is really hot), jewelry, nice shoes and accessories e.g., scarves, little boxes etc., art, duvets and shams , pretty linen things, rugs, art, small furniture e.g., wood chairs, garden accessories, useable specialized electronics e.g., a GPS or electronic toy.Not on the list? Please call to discuss such an item .
On the other hand no books, clothing, large items, computers
Last year we netted over 6,000 dollars, a banner year. We attract a crowd which appreciates nice things and are ready to buy. If you have something I have failed to mention please call. You may not know but we have no dumpster for leftovers . Our unsold items must fit into one pick up truck that a volunteer takes to GoodWill. Items that we think our local thrift store would like go there, the rest go to the Good Will.
I want to thank everyone in advance for their donations. We can give you a certificate for tax purposes as well. Donations may be given as of today!! For an appointment to bring your donations, please call Judith Moore at 669-1515 or email her at [email protected] To volunteer to help with this project also call 669-1515 - that's one number for everything.
If you can help us setup or sell please let me know. This is a really fun way to help the community and send our local kids to college.
