TOO FAR President, Mike Weirich, spent March 22 & 23, in Tallahassee for the Citrus County Legislative days, On Wednesday the Mike presented a new appropriation request to Adam Blalock, Deputy Secretary for Ecosystems Restoration, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, for our next lake clean up projects of Lake Dodd and Lake Todd.
Wednesday evening was enjoyed at the Governor's Club building for a meet and greet dinner with our Citrus County Representatives. And Thursday morning we met with all the representatives and listened to their future incite for Citrus County.
Some of the representatives present were, the Citrus County BOCC members, John Murphy, Frank Walker, Blaise Ingoglia, Wilton Simpson, Adam Blalock, Josh Wooten, Dr. Ralph Masuella.

Our Lake Restoration Committee will be meeting this Thursday, Sept. 8th, at 5:00 pm in the Point O Woods building. This will be a very informative meeting for all committee members.
We have a new contact information regarding the DEP. Also, we will have 2 guests, and will interview them, for possible hire, as our "Project Manager" to handle the necessary documentation with the DEP, for our first lake cleanup.

Are you a lake front owner? Do you care about restoring & cleaning our lake system in Citrus County? Please join us on the 4th Thursday of each month, at 5:00 pm at 9228 E. Gospel Island Road, Inverness, FLorida.
This last year, we secured monies from the Florida Legislation. We will begin a major cleanup of our chain of lakes. Starting on Point Lonesome Lake, in the Hernando Pool of the Tsala Apopka chain of lakes in citrus county. There are 15 lakes in our scope, to clean and restore, to make them usable & sustainable, for storing more water
& benefit fishing, for our future generations.
