Want to learn about natural resources in your community? Check out a Sense of Place event! Sense of Place is a collective of partners whose mission is to connect you to your natural resources through place-based community forums and outdoor field experiences. Join us at local breweries for a series of events where you can learn and ask questions about your public lands, wildlife, and how wildfire, insects, or disease can impact your community’s forests.

The first event is TONIGHT at Tuckerman Brewing Company in Conway.

Some good sources of info on invasive plants for discussion at today's Invasive Species Volunteer Day. We are still on despite the drizzle, but we may stop early if the rain picks up.

It is illegal in New Hampshire to knowingly collect, transport, sell, distribute, propagate or transplant any living or viable portion of any listed prohibited invasive plant species including all of their cultivars, varieties, and specified hybrids.

Thank you to all who came out to make Valley Pride Day in Bartlett such a success! We had 14 volunteers (plus a separate group in Intervale), and we collected about 30 bags of trash. Colleen and her 8-year-old son picked up 700 cigarette butts! Spread the word to your friends who smoke: CIGARETTE BUTTS ARE TRASH, too! Please don't throw them on the ground.

Plus, a very special thanks👏to the our chair Chris Fithian and the AMC for lending us their truck to pick up the trash bags!! https://www.facebook.com/AppalachianMountainClub

This beautiful photo was taken by a employee during a routine site visit. The beaver wetland is the result of damming up old bridges/culverts along the road, allowing only a trickle of water to get through. The plant in the foreground is Joe-pye w**d (Eutrochium ssp) and is a native plant loved by pollinators including monarchs, swallowtails and many different bee species.
