May 10th is Bear Witness Day, and Weechi-it-te-win Family Services is inviting our community partners to join us in remembrance and to raise awareness for Jordan’s Principle.

This day also honours the memory of Jordan River Anderson, a young boy from Norway House Cree Nation whose story led to the creation of Jordan’s Principle—ensuring that First Nations children receive the services and supports they need, when they need them, without delay.

We encourage everyone to take part by posting a photo with a teddy bear 🧸💙 or any bear-themed item on our page in the comments below.

Jordan’s Principle helps ensure that all children ages 0–17 have equal access to the health, social, and educational services, supports, and products they need.

Weechi-it-te-win Family Services is pleased to be sponsoring Family Day activities at the Memorial Sports Centre on Monday, February 16th.

10:15am to 11:45am- Family Shinny
12pm to 1:30pm- Family Skating
2:30pm to 4pm- Family Swim

Please note that parents/caregivers need to sign waivers before youth can attend any on ice activities at the Fort Frances rink.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
