I want to personally thank those of you who donated items or gave up time to complete the care packages. Thanks to a lot of outside donors, we were able to put together 63 packages for children affected by the flood with extra items to spare. I want to give a shoutout to Amanda Easter and her family for helping deliver the items to the Lion's Club in Clay County.

Thank you to Calvin Broyles of Teays Valley, Subway of Teays Valley, Hurricane Edible Arrangments, and Crowder Auctions. This would not have been possible without the support of these local businesses.

Thank you to Elk Center Elementary for allowing us to use your facilities to assemble the care packages. Your kids were a great help.

Thank you to all the individuals affiliated and unaffiliated with Kappa Delta Pi who donated cash and goods toward the completion of these care packages.

You are all appreciated by the members of Kappa Delta Pi Lambda Zeta Chapter, myself, Clay County Lion's Club, and children affected by flooding in Clay.

*JUST A REMINDER*
All donations MUST be turned in by tomorrow evening. We will be making the bags Friday. We are very low on supplies and really need the items. You can drop donations off at Edible Arrangments in Teays Valley or on the 6th floor of Wallace in a box in front of Korn's office.

Hello members! I hope you all are having a nice summer.

Due to the devastation caused by the recent flash flooding, we are partnering with Kanawha County Community Education Program to provide 50 care packages for children who were affected by the flood. Each package with include a draw string bag filled with items that children will need. We want each bag to include at least:

two pair of socks
a coloring book
a pack of crayons
a toy
non-perishable snacks
a small bottle of shampoo

Items can be dropped off in Wallace on the 6th floor in designated boxes or at Edible Arrangements in Teays Valley (9am-7pm). Please label which items you bring. The link to the sign up sheet is included in an email that I sent out.

If we have enough people involved we can add more items to put in the bags. Also feel free to get family members and other community members involved with these donations. Crowder Auction will be donating soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to fill the bags.

Any item or time donated to help fill the bags will count toward your required community service. We will be filling bags on Thursday, June 30th at 6pm. The location is still to be determined, but if you are interested in helping please message me at 304-415-0135.
