To our AVLP family, thank you for your patience and understanding over the last couple of weeks. We’ve been a little absent while spending precious time caring for my nanny. Last Wednesday, she went home to be with the Lord surrounded by so much love.

We are slowly working on catching up and will be returning emails, messages, and requests over the next few days.

Watching AnnLee, at only 13 years old, step into the role of caregiver these last weeks has been one of the most heartbreaking and beautiful things to witness. The same little girl who inspired AVLP showed such gentleness, compassion, and strength while loving her nanny well until the very end.

Thank you all for the continued prayers, love, and support for our family during this time. 💜

Mother’s Day looks different for so many mothers.

Some are rocking babies to sleep at home.
Some are sitting beside NICU beds praying for monitors to stay quiet.
Some are carrying babies only in their hearts and memories.
Some are healing from traumatic pregnancies, losses, infertility, or long journeys to motherhood.

Today we honor every single mother and every version of motherhood.

This mission was born from tiny fighters, long NICU nights, answered prayers, heartbreak, hope, and the kind of love that changes you forever. Because of that, we know motherhood is not measured by easy days or perfect moments. It’s measured by fierce love, sacrifice, strength, and showing up even when your heart is exhausted.

To the NICU moms, angel moms, stepmoms, bonus moms, foster moms, waiting moms, grieving moms, and every mama in between:
You are seen.
You are loved.
And your story matters.

Today we celebrate the mothers who carry light into some of the darkest moments. 💜

AVLP rotates on the first Saturday of each month to visit a Tulsa NICU and supply support and free lunch! This rotation ensures we get to show extra love and support to the NICU families at each of these hospitals quarterly.

This Saturday our lovely volunteers will be at Ascension St. John in Tulsa OK to support families in the NICU!!

Today has held a special place in my heart since 2013.

April 30th was AnnLee’s due date. The day we were supposed to meet her. Instead, our girl came early & tiny but so incredibly strong.

There were moments filled with fear, NICU monitors, and so many prayers. And now, looking at the healthy, beautiful, thriving girl she has become, I can only feel overwhelming gratitude.

God knew every detail of her story before we did. What once felt so uncertain became part of a bigger purpose, and through AnnLee’s journey, AnnLee’s Violet Light Project was born to bring hope to other NICU families.

Today I’m just thankful. Thankful for her health. Thankful for her life. Thankful for every milestone we once prayed for. 💜
