The Inkster Housing Commission invites residents and community members to attend our upcoming Job Fair! This event is designed to connect job seekers with employment opportunities and valuable community resources.

Section 3 Employment Opportunities
Inkster Housing residents—this is an opportunity for you! Residents are encouraged to attend and learn about Section 3 employment opportunities.
Section 3 is a HUD requirement intended to help ensure that employment, training, and contracting opportunities generated by certain HUD-funded housing and community development assistance are directed, to the greatest extent feasible, to low- and very low-income individuals, particularly people receiving housing assistance.
Come prepared to meet employers, learn about available positions, and explore opportunities that may help you take the next step in your career.
Michigan Secretary of State Mobile SOS
The Mobile Secretary of State (SOS) will also be available during the Job Fair, making it convenient for attendees to complete a variety of Secretary of State transactions while at the event.
Services are expected to include driver’s license and ID services, vehicle registration, title transfers, license plate renewals, and more. Please note that applicable SOS services will be provided at a cost.

Coffee & Conversation: Your Voice. Your Community. Our Priority.
Connecting Residents, Housing Officers & Our Community

Inkster Housing Commission is excited to introduce Coffee & Conversation, a monthly opportunity for residents to connect directly with Inkster Housing Officers and the Inkster Police Department in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

These conversations are designed to give residents a voice when it comes to safety, security, neighborhood concerns, and community improvement. Residents will have the opportunity to share concerns, ask questions, receive updates, and work together with housing staff and law enforcement to identify solutions.

Join Your Neighborhood Watch Team

Coffee & Conversation is also an opportunity for residents to learn more about and join their prospective Neighborhood Watch Team. Neighborhood Watch encourages residents to become active partners in creating safer, stronger communities.

Your participation can help:

Share safety concerns and neighborhood issues.
Build stronger relationships between residents, housing staff, and law enforcement.
Learn about crime prevention and community safety.
Connect with your neighbors.
Become involved in your Neighborhood Watch Team.
Work together to make our communities safer and stronger.
