Hill Country FLASH FLOOD Victims Deserve Answers.

Our State Legislators are holding hearings next week regarding the flash flood. These hearings will be held without input from victims’ families or survivors outside of Camp Mystic.

Also without acknowledging the rest of the souls who were lost in Kerr County.

A little nasty weather couldn’t keep the fine folks from showing up in West Kerr Monday April 20, 2026.

They came to give their support for ALL of the 119 lives lost in the Flash Flood.

From the partially restored Dam Center to Camp Mystic, people showed up determined to stand near Hwy 39 with signs in hand to let others know they care about those that lost their lives.

Armed with their big umbrellas, the rain also didn’t keep the lawmakers from touring Camp Mystic.

Thank you Elizabeth Schneider for organizing this tribute to the 119, and to Peggy Van Meter for your wonderful photography.

We hope to work alongside you and others as we rapidly approach the 12 month anniversary of that horrible day.

Let today mark the beginning of what Mrs. Van Meter calls a day of reconciliation not retribution.

God’s blessings.💚💔

Check out this beautiful sunrise on Ingram Lake!

Hard to believe it’s already been 8 months since the flash flood.

With TDEM's barge and crane operation set to leave soon, it’ll be up to us, the citizens of West Kerr to come together and start taking care of what’s ours.

Just like we used to.

God’s blessings everyone.💚💔
Thank you Peggy Van Meter for your photography.

These pictures were taken from the dam only 4 days after the orange colored stopper was put back in place.

A pontoon boat, a large air compressor, and a truck was all the equipment needed to drain the lake .đź’šđź’” ; ; ; Vigilance Foundation;

Hey everybody, we’re back on the water!

Ryan Logue with the Green River Project and divers from Search and Support San Antonio were busy this past weekend removing debris from the river bottom at Louise Hays Park.

The Green Ribbon Projects mission is to sweep clean popular swimming areas along the Guadalupe to help everyone feel safe entering the water after the flash flood.

Thanks to Katie Buck's Wild Roots Farm Stand and 323 Bakery for providing yummy treats to keep the divers and their support staff well fed.

Thanks to Ryan, and to Search and Support San Antonio for your hard work and for caring about our beautiful Guadalupe River.

We look forward to hosting you in Hunt and Ingram soon.

God’s blessings.
