Theta Upsilon Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. The "Ultimate" Theta Upsilon Sigma Alumnae Chapter was chartered on December 19, 1998 to service the Inglewood community in Los Angeles, California.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was organized on November 12, 1922, in Indianapolis, Indiana, by seven young educators: Mary Lou Allison Gardner Little, Dorothy Hanley Whiteside, Vivian White Marbury, Nannie Mae Gahn Johnson, Hattie Mae Annette Dulin Redford, Bessie Mae Downey Rhoades Martin and Cubena McClure. The group became an incorporated national collegiate sorority on December 30, 1929, when

a charter was granted to Alpha chapter at Butler University. The "Ultimate" Theta Upsilon Sigma was chartered in Inglewood, Ca. on December 19, 1998 by Sorors Kashira Bell (Gamma Kappa), Cynthia Westbrooks (Mu Alpha), Winona Dorris (Gamma Tau Sigma), Andrea Foggy (Beta Psi), Donna Henry (Gamma Kappa) and Tammeria McLin (Beta Pi). The rhythm was set and the reset was undeniably RHOyal 💙✨

The Ladies of Theta Upsilon Sigma Inglewood Alumnae Chapter brought the energy to RHOyal Reset on April 25 at Edward Vincent Park a vibrant, Caribbean-inspired wellness experience rooted in movement, connection, and care.

From cloudy skies to sunshine filled moments, Sorors and guests showed up ready to flow through an electrifying workout led by Donie, fellowship, and fun.

The day closed with raffles, wellness gifts, and renewed spirits because prioritizing wellness is always in season. It was truly a day of rhythm, release, and rejuvenation! 💫

Chartered on December 19, 1998, Theta Upsilon Sigma Chapter was founded by six graduate members who saw a need to better serve the South Bay area of Greater Los Angeles. For over two decades, our chapter has remained committed to uplifting the community through public service, leadership development, and youth education.

As we celebrate another year of excellence, we honor our past, embrace our present, and look forward to a future rooted in sisterhood, scholarship, and Greater Service, Greater Progress.

For 27 years, Theta Upsilon Sigma Chapter has stood as a pillar of scholarship, service, and sisterhood in the Inglewood community. While our programs and impact speak volumes, our greatest legacy has always been the bonds between generations of women walking through life together.

From Rhosebuds to Rhoers, undergraduates to alumnae, our chapter continues to bridge generations mentoring, supporting, and serving with purpose. Through every season, we remain united in love, resilience, and our commitment to Greater Service, Greater Progress.

Today, we honor our past, celebrate our present, and look forward to a future built on the same foundation of sisterhood that has sustained us for 27 years strong.
