Last week, we celebrated Juneteenth and the power of community at an incredible event hosted by our Board Member Dr. Fred Martin and Compton Kidz Club! Held at WePlay Studios, a Ukrainian company now calling LA home, and sponsored by SHEIN, the show highlighted the global reach of Black culture and the international investment shaping our city. It’s moments like these that remind us why Los Angeles stands as a beacon of diversity, creativity, and global connection. 🌍✨

Global LA was proud to be part of the California delegation at the 2025 SelectUSA Conference! This year’s delegation was the largest ever, with over 30 organizations and three mayors from across the state participating in the program.

California kicked off the morning with a breakfast meeting featuring Waymo and Zoox, highlighting the state’s leadership in autonomous vehicles and its commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technologies in mobility and beyond.
