Today, Mr. McIver, the Executive Chef from the Westin LAX Hotel, donated 50 box lunches to DORIS CARES to distribute to her hungry families. Each box had a freshly made sandwich, fruit and Miss Vicki's chips. Thank you, Chef McIver! Bravo The Westin Los Angeles Airport

Come and meet Doris...at 90 years old, she accomplishes more in a day than most half her age. All day, every day, she feeds people who are hungry...EVERY SINGLE DAY. She. Never. Stops.

We rely upon volunteers to help in our cause.  Volunteer opportunities include helping us to feed hungry people in the Los Angeles area, food donations, monetary donations for our vehicles used to pick up and deliver food, social networking for getting out the message and sharing the good work that...

Phoenix Bakery Inc in Chinatown, family owned for 82 years, had lines down the block and sold out but the Bakery still made sure cakes would be available to give to DORIS CARES to donate to poor families for Mother's Day.

Phoenix Bakery Inc donates cakes every week...anywhere from 1-4 times a week and DORIS CARES delivers them all over the county from South Bay to San Gabriel to the Eastern Chino Hills and the West side to needy families, churches and homeless.

Feeding the Homies Homeboy Industries Cafe in Los Angeles...one slice per homie.

Doris doing Doris. Works with partner Jerry collecting the daily donated food from LAX Restaurants. Then prepares the daily meal...prep, cooking fabulous casseroles and then cleaning up. She and Jerry have been working together for over 25 years. Bravo!
