Ozzie and Friends Rescue- Save a Life We are a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption dog rescue dedicated to placing homeless dogs in good homes! We love animals.

We are committed to training, rehabilitating, vetting and promoting them at various events! We want no animal to suffer anymore. We will do whatever we can to stop the abuse of animals, the mistreatment and neglect of animals. We will rescue, foster, train and continue to rescue them as much as possible today. ted. OAF is dedicated to help and nurture as many animals as we can. We help them all, small, medium or large. We break stereotypes of bully breeds, stop over breeding animals for greed, get them fixed, back to a healthy state, socialized, and back to what they were born to do- LOVE AND BE LOVED.

'HE SHOT THE RESCUE DOGS, BURIED THEM ON HIS LAND!'

Miranda’s Rescue in Fortuna, California (Humboldt County), a self-described "no-kill rescue, adoption & sanctuary facility" founded in 1998, accepted dogs from shelters across California, often charging $400–$1,000 per animal for transfers.
Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office investigators allege that many dogs transferred there were shot, buried on the property (including in what’s been described as a mass grave), while still being reported as adopted and placed in their "Forever Homes".
Investigators say the motive was to free up space for more paid transfers from shelters while misleading partners about the animals’ outcomes (e.g., claiming adoptions with photos/microchips of dogs later found dead).
The investigation includes allegations of animal cruelty, fraud, and financial crimes.
The owner, Shannon Miranda, has reportedly denied criminal intent in interviews, claiming some euthanasias were for emergencies (aggression/injuries) when vets were unavailable, and admitted to on-site burials.
