Strengthening Emotional Resilience in Children & Teens through Art
Take a deeper dive into one of the most powerful emotional resiliency-building art tools, based on parent and educator feedback: the emoji. These simple, yet profoundly impactful icons are accessible, relatable, and hold untapped power to increase tolerance of conflicting emotions, expedite problem solving, and stimulate meaningful conversation. Join us for a close up, hands-on look at building emotional, social, and cognitive resiliency—all through the nuanced use of emojis.
Attendees will walk away with immediately applicable tools to use with children and teens. Attendees will also strengthen their skills to thoughtfully adjust an art activity to fit targeted goals and needs.
Those who sign up will receive a special handout with instructions for key activities from the workshop. The session will be followed by a ten-minute Q&A.
