Honoring Black History Month with Sisterhood, Service and Celebration

-- The Los Angeles Chapter of Chums gathered on February 15th for our chapter meeting to celebrate Black History Month in meaningful ways. We enjoyed a delicious soul food lunch, shared lots of laughter while playing Black History Bingo, and reflected on the rich legacy that continues to inspire us.

In the spirit of service, we also came together to collect socks for donation to St. Anne's Family services as our February Act of Kindness -- because community care is at the heart of who we are. Grateful for the fellowship, fun, and purpose that make our Chums LA sisterhood so special.

🎄✨ 2025 Holiday Party & Toy Drive ✨🎄

The Los Angeles Chapter of Chums, Incorporated thanks our friends, family, and community partners who donated or joined us for our Holiday Party & Toy Drive this year as we celebrated the season of giving and goodwill.

This year, we are proud to uplift our theme of “Listening to the Children.” Invited attendees supported this effort by donating a new, unwrapped toy or gift card (minimum $25 value) to help brighten the holidays for children in our community.

It was especially because one of our chapter charter members and scholarship recipients joined us for the festivities 🎁👏🏾

This morning the Los Angeles Chapter of Chums were delighted to deliver Gift Baskets to St. Anne’s Family Services. The baskets were full of items from their Amazon Wish list to benefit their Early Childhood Education Program. The Los Angeles Chapter of Chums… Caring, Sharing, Serving with Love! ❤️

On Wednesday, May 8th we participated in the Mother’s Day program at St. Anne’s Family services. It was a festive, heartwarming event complete with wonderful gifts for the children and mothers, delicious appetizers and dancing… Fun, fun, fun!

St. Anne’s Family Services provides high-quality supportive housing programs, early childhood education, mental health, and family-based services to more than 2,100 young women, children and families.

Last Saturday, we had a great time assembling gift bags and baskets to benefit their Mother’s Day program.
