A Great Day of Learning at Rufus Reed Public Library!

Our Rufus Reed Library branch was happy to welcome Kentucky State University today as they hosted their Landscape Scale Restoration Training: Forestry and Agroforestry here in Martin County.

The training covered agroforestry systems, non-timber forest products, high value specialty crops, and business and value-added opportunities in agroforestry. Participants also took part in a plantation site visit, learned about tree planting and monitoring techniques, site preparation, and observed a live drone demonstration highlighting the use of drone technology in forest and agricultural management.
