Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #1462 We are a local court of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, serving the communities of Indio, Coachella, and surrounding communities in Southern CA.

Who Are The Catholic Daughters? The Catholic Daughters of the Americas is one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women in the Americas. They donate to charities, administer scholarship programs and strive “to be helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness.”

The CDA motto is “Unity and Charity.”

The CDA was formed over 100 years ago and today numbers 70,000 du

es-paying members in 1,250 courts (local chapters) in 45 states across the country, and in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands. Catholic Daughter women enjoy each other’s company at meetings and work hard for their parishes and communities. Deeply spiritual, together they share faith, love of God and a distinctly feminine spirituality alluded to by Pope John Paul II when he spoke of the necessity of “feminine genius” in today’s world. The program includes concerns of today’s church and society as well as issues that affect the well-being of women and children. The Legislative Program encourages interested members to learn about laws that may influence their faith and to contact their state representatives to make their personal positions known through Operation Morning Star [The Catholic Daughters of the Americas does not endorse political candidates]. Girls and young women ages 6-18 can join the Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Young college women can become members of Campus Courts at some universities.

Thank you to all of our court members, family members, and friends who helped bake, decorate, package, and sell the delicious pastries from our booth at today’s OLPH Catholic Church Indio, CA & Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School and Preschool’s Fall Festival fundraiser. It was wonderful to spend the day with each other and our parish community!

Thank you to everyone who came to enjoy the corned beef and cabbage on Saturday night. We hope it was as much fun savoring each bite as we had preparing it.

Bring family and friends to our upcoming St. Patrick's Day Dinner on March 15 and to Stations of the Cross, which we will lead alongside Knight’s of Columbus Indio Council 3215 on March 21.

Ladies, dress up and join us on May 17 for an English Afternoon Tea benefitting Refuge Pregnancy Center. Please feel free to bring daughters, both young and older.

✝️ WOMEN’S LENTEN RETREAT ~ March 8, 2025 ✝️
100 women attended today’s Women’s Lenten Retreat hosted by CDA Court Our Lady of the Valley #1462 and led by the Episcopal Vicar of the Diocese of San Bernardino, the Very Rev. Rafael Partida. Those who attended included CDA members and non-CDA members, young women and senior women, mothers, grandmothers, daughters, caregivers, and single women. And among this diverse group of women, the energy, fellowship, and presence of Christ was (and is) undeniable!
