The following letter was sent via email and postal service to all homeowners and residents.

Last month the community was made aware of the shutdown of our existing visitor management solution. As a replacement, the community website called TownSq has been selected to provide Talavera with visitor management services. The Board was looking forward to beginning the rollout of this service in the latter half of January, but technical delays integrating this system with our existing property management software has forced the go-live date to be pushed back. We expect that residents will be receiving access to the site beginning in March, and as more information becomes available residents will be notified.

Until the new system goes live, homeowners will be able to call the gate attendant to authorize visitors for a single day. The gate attendants can be reached during staffed hours, currently Monday - Friday from 7am to 8pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 10pm. To authorize a visitor, residents will need to provide their name, property address, visitor’s name and date of visit. Only homeowners and residents registered with property management will be able to pre- authorize visitors. Multi-day and long-term passes for visitors and vendors can be arranged by contacting the property management company.

During the hours that the gate is staffed, visitors must stop for the gate attendant. The attendant will process a visitor’s pass or look up the resident and call to announce the visitor for entry. If no answer is received, the visitor will be denied entry.

If you need the main gate number or have any questions please contact the property manager Rosanna Cardenas by calling 855-403-3852 or emailing [email protected].

Coachella Valley Water District is embarking on a water mainline replacement project in the Talavera community. Corrosive soil in the area is causing damage to the water pipelines. In an effort to avoid emergency leaks, CVWD has elected to replace the failing pipeline. CWVD has created a website to provide information to Talavera residents about their ongoing project in our community.

Talavera Residents,

A few weeks ago, the Community Association was notified that the Sequr product used by Talavera for visitor management would be discontinued and the server shut down effective December 31st. After this date the callbox would revert to the simple directory callbox and passes or codes issued through Sequr would no longer work. After reviewing the available solutions, it was decided to make changes to the way visitors would be processed into the community.

Beginning January 1st, the staffing hours for the gate attendants will be adjusted by rescheduling existing shifts. The main gate attendant will be on duty Monday - Friday from 7am to 8pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 10pm. During the hours that the gate is staffed, visitors must stop for the gate attendant. The attendant will process a visitor’s pass or look up the resident and call to announce the visitor for entry. If no answer is received, the visitor will be denied entry. Outside of the manned gate hours, visitors will use the callbox. It will continue to function with visitors looking the person up in the directory and calling.

In mid-January, a new visitor management system is expected to be in place as a replacement for our existing system. This new system will allow residents to send digital passes to a visitor’s smartphone that can be scanned by the attendant. Residents will also be able to call the gate attendants to pre-authorize visitors. Once the new system is online, instructions for access and use will be provided to homeowners and residents registered with the property manager.

Should you have any questions please contact the Rosanna Cardenas by emailing [email protected] or calling 855-403-3852.
